I was a finalist in the 2013 Pentland Winston Churchill Design Competition. The Artwork was displayed in the Churchill War Rooms (part of the Imperial War Museum) in London and awarded by The Mayor of London, Boris Johnson, put together by The Churchill Centre in partnership with the Pentland Group and ARTS THREAD.
The competition was to create inspiring artwork that illustrated the relevance of Winston Churchill to a modern day audience.
I illustrated Winston Churchill painting britain on a canvas. This was a symbolic illustration of his heroic leadership. But also, maybe not a well known fact, that he was also a good painter. Incorporating patriotic colours and painting britain on the map, gave a powerful message of how we still see Churchill as one the greatest leaders.
